Sallisaw – Funeral services for Clifton Fairchild, 69, of Sallisaw, will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mr. Fairchild was born on June 24, 1954, in Muskogee to Louise (Overman) Mannon and Odell Fairchild. He died on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.

He was married to Denise Gail Vickery on July 13, 1974, in Van Nuys, Calif.

He built bridges in Muskogee, sold fruits and vegetables and owned a multitude of homes and a mobile home park in Sallisaw. He was extremely artistically talented and enjoyed ceramics.

Survivors are his wife, Denise Fairchild of the home; sisters, Dian Horton and Barbara Wilson; brothers, Alvin Overman and Ruksana, William Mannon and Michelle and Bob Vickery; and numerous other friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Kenzy (Bubo) Mannon; in-laws, Jeanne and Lloyd Vickery; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Alvin Overman, William Mannon, Shawn Hays, Jeff Cain, Chris Gilbert and Randy Sheppard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Vickery, Ron Neal and Rick Randolph.

Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22 at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. The family will visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Tunnels to Towers.
