High Time to Wake-Up! Redemption is Near

Just a Reminder

“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.”

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.”

“Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.”

“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts” (Rom. 13:11-14).

Wake up Not only must the Christians wake up, but the lost must be awaken, up to the fact of their lost condition… condemnation… hell!

Most Christians are sleeping today. This is an important time of our lives.. .“for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed” (Rom. 13:11).

What an amazing truth! We are so close to our eternal life with Christ… one breath from being there! What a joyful expectation! Our journey here is almost over…but, what about the unsaved.

Unbelievers are without Christ as Savior and they are being deceived by Satan. He is very real, whether you or they believe it. We must warn them today that Judgment is coming.

“The pride of your heart has deceived you” (Obadiah 3). Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived” (I Cor. 6:9). Again, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Gal. 6:7).

One day “the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone… tormented day and night forever and ever” (Rev.

20: 10) .

Work to Do Christian, it is time to wake up! “for our salvation nearer than when we believed” (Rom. 13:11). We have work to do! Time is short!

“The day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light” (Rom. 13:12).

There must be a revival in the heart of Christians. It begins with the confession of neglecting the work. It means a confession of sinful living including local churches. It is time to get dressed in the armor of God. The sinful wardrobe must go!

We must wake up! Be watchful! We must keep our minds, heart and eyes on our eternal destination and stay focused on Christ and the Great Commission.

Sleeping Christians will not get the job done! Time to take the gospel to the world. There is a saying: “we are burning daylight!”

The sins of the darkness must stop in the life of the Christian. We have slept long enough! “For we have spent enough of our past” sleeping, as people are missing out on eternal life. They have gone out into eternity without Christ.

As we think about our past, since the day we were saved, we must realize that we have not been committed and feel the responsibility for sharing the Gospel with our friends, neighbors and relatives.

We can feel secure because we are saved and “our salvation nearer that when we believed” that which we long for. The eternal happiness is so close today. Can’t you just feel that the victory is near! It is only one breath away! Our journey’s end is almost here! Amen! Praise the Lord God of Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ!

We are one breath away! What a reason for being serious in service to the Lord. Many are still lost and we have the message. Let’s “awake out of sleep” get dressed and go to work. It is so close!

The lost must hear the Good News. It concerns them! We are accountable for sowing Gospel seeds. Pray, witness and watch!

Now is the best time to share the Gospel. Let’s “put on the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Christian, let’s see how many we can share the Gospel with.

Let’s wake up, “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.”

Our redemption is near! (Luke 21:28).
