Sept. 29, 1931 – Feb. 11, 2024

Funeral services for Rose Kelley, 92, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Chapel in Sallisaw.

Burial was at Barnoski Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kelley was born on Sept. 29, 1931, in Vian to George Byers Vann and Eliza Nancy (Beaver) Vann. She died on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, in Vian.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, fishing, quilting and making special dishes. She was very dedicated to her faith.

She married Melvin Robert Kelley on Nov. 8, 1947, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1964.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Brown and Susan Smith, both of Vian; 126 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Linda Greene and Karen Bailey; three sons, Maynord Kelley, Harold Kelley and Melvin Robert Kelley Jr.; two sisters, Lillian Sue Hall and Sarah Kirkland; and one brother, Edd Frye Vann.

Pallbearers were Michael Brown, Billy Brown, Bobby Brown, Allen Bailey, Keith Herriman and Justin Vann.
