She was preceded in death by her loving parents and husbands. Barbara’s journey through life was marked by vibrant energy and cherished connections. She attended Roland High School, where she participated in various activities, including founding the inaugural cheerleading squad in 1953, and starring in numerous plays and musicals. Her voice graced both her school choir and a local quartet. Barbara’s sparkling personality and keen sense of fashion were hallmarks of her life.

For 27 years, Barbara was a beloved fixture at Wiederkehr Weinkeller Restaurant in Altus, Ark., where she made many life-long friends. She served her community as a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Eastern Star.

In her retirement, Barbara enjoyed time spent with loved ones, enjoying games of bunco, and embarking on adventures near and far. Her zest for life and warm spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Barbara’s life was held at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, at 6 p.m., on Friday, March 1, 2024, with visitation starting at 5 p.m. Let us gather to honor and remember a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter and cherished memories.
