Leota Mae Smith Garrett

April 3, 1953 – March 12, 2024

Graveside services for Leota Mae (Smith) Garrett, 70, of Vian, were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Garrett was born on April 3, 1953, in Gore to Redflag Smith and Betsy Ann (Chewie) Smith. She died on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Vian.

She was a certified nursing assistant and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son, Terry and Melissa Blankenship of Vian; one daughter, Cheryl and Tony Neal of Vian; seven grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Christopher Blankenship and Brandon Reece; two brothers, Jerry Smith and Leroy Henry; and two sisters, Wilma Robertson and Clara Hardin.
