Jesus Said: I Am the Way!
commentary
May 29, 2024
Jesus Said: I Am the Way!
By Shirley R. Watts,

Whoever Calls on Me…I Save!

Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

Jesus gave His life for the sinner.. .you and mel! Praise the Lord! We can be saved!

Today the devil is deceiving people with the idea that there is more than one way to be saved, He lies!

To be born again you must first realize that you are lost.

You admit to yourself from hearing God’s word that you are a sinner. Sin is doing what God has said not to do. It is rejecting His Son. Sin is breaking God’s Law. You have rejected His Son. God loves you and has a plan for you.

Romans 3:23

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Every person who was born after Adam is a sinner. Because of what Adam did, we were lost and could not be saved until Christ came and died on the cross. Jesus died in our place. It is possible to be forgiven and be born again.

What is sin? Sin is anything that does not conform to the glory of God.

Romans 5:12

“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death spread to all men.,” When Adam disobeyed God he sinned against God, so all are born spiritually dead… lost. Death has passed upon every person. God said that if you want to come back to Him, you must accept His Son Jesus Christ into your heart. It is very personal and it is by faith…not of works! (Eph 2:8-9). It is your decision. Jesus is the only way you can have forgiveness of sin. The sin of “rejection of God’s Son” is the sin that will cost you and without Him you cannot be born again.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I will send My Son to make it possible for men, women and children to be born again. It is because Jesus died on the cross there is forgiveness of sin and because He was raised from the dead, you can have eternal life by faith in Him. Heaven forever! If you believe in your heart that you are a sinner and He died in your place, and He was raised on the third day and He is in Heaven with God the Father.

Romans 10:9:

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and believe in your heart, that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Jesus made it possible for every person to be saved…that includes you! You do not have to remain lost.

Romans 5:8

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Jesus died in your place. To ignore Him is eternal punishment.

Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

“Death” separates us from God forever. The “Gift” is Jesus Christ. Eternal life!

So, if you believe in your heart that the only way to please God is accepting His Son Jesus Christ, then you must repent and be born again… saved!

Romans 10:13

“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

You sincerely repent of sin and ask God to forgive you for rejecting His Son. Then you place your faith in Jesus Christ and live for Him.

Summary

Realize you are lost. Come by the way of the cross. You are lost, dying and condemned without Christ. Repent means to turn away from sin and turn to God. When He speaks to your heart, humble yourself and confess sin. Ask God to forgive you. You must pray the prayer to God.

When He convicts you, the choice is yours. You will accept or reject Him. God is willing to save you. You can have eternal life. Never doubt God. He doesn’t lie!

God’s way! Jesus lives today!

Don’t be deceived! Be born again!
