My God is So Good to Me!
commentary
June 5, 2024
My God is So Good to Me!
By Shirley R. Watts,

‘How excellent is Your name..Ps. 8:9

So much has happened in my life the past five years, I feel like praising God, He is so good to me! Seems like He just keeps on giving Himself to me and the older I get and as life moves me toward Heaven, I realize more each day how much He loves me, gives me the strength to move forward and to be able to pour my heart out to Him as I walk and talk with Him. His presence is so comforting in the times I have lost loved ones, and the times of sickness. As the world today leans toward the times that precede His return, I must have time for Him in Bible Study, in prayer and just talking to other Christians about what He means to me.

You see, I know who my God is! He is the Creator, the Eternal One, the Only True and Living God. I have a hard time finding the words to show Him what He means to me, I am thankful He looks at my heart and sees His Son Jesus Christ. He is awesome, kind, mighty, loving, just, merciful, the all knowing, all present, and all powerful God. This is my God! It is a miracle that He spoke to me and I heard and believed. He speaks truth, and as I read His Book, I learn so much about Him, His will and His will for me.

He forgives me when I am weak in faith, unthankful and lack of praise. In His love He draws me back to Himself through repentance, returning to fellowship then, I am able to move forward.

He is the past, the future and the present! He is true to His Word, I can count on all He says! I trust Him! He is in control of all things and events, never doubt this. In the day in which we live, my faith is in God. His plan will come to pass! We must be busy evangelizing the world. Speak His Name often!!!

He is holy, true, pure, merciful, and compassionate. He is righteous, sovereign and faithful. He does not change! He still loves me as much as He ever did and still forgives me and helps me to grow into the likeness of His Son. He blesses me so much. He is preparing a special place for me, and all who love Him. He is preparing me for Heaven! “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Cor. 2:9). I get excited just thinking about seeing Jesus, family and eternity. How about You? But until that day, I shall love Him always trying to be a witness of His salvation. Telling all who He is and how they too can come back to God through His Son!

Because He is the Just God, He must punish sin. He can only receive those who receive the blood sacrifice for sin made on the Cross, and the burial and His resurrection. All unbelievers will suffer for unbelief. This means eternal separation from God for all eternity in Hell!!! One should not ignore this warning! All He says will take place.

Who is your God? or What is your God? If not the Holy One that I speak of today, then you have been blinded and deceived from knowing the True God who sent His Son to be sacrifice for sin, that anyone may return to God and be saved. There is so much false teaching today about how to come to God and have eternal life. “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (Jn. 14:6). The world changes every day, but God’s Word will not change. One must heed it today.

As for me, I will worship my God and look forward to the day He takes me home, but for now, I have work to do and must be faithful, and love Him, for He alone is my life. He is above all!!!
