Two Vian OK Kids baseball teams competed at state during the last week of June.

At the 2024 OK Kids Age 10-and-Younger State Tournament at Sallisaw Sports Complex, the Vian Wolverines made it to the loser’s-bracket final before seeing their season come to an end.

The Wolverines opened with a 5-4 win over the Ada Warriors in the opening round on June 25, then handled the Shawnee MPact 12-4 to reach the winner’sbracket final on June 27 where they lost 12-0 to the Fletcher Gold. The Wolverines were eliminated in the loser’s-bracket final 6-5 by Kingfisher ’Jackets on June 28.

Vian’s OK Kids Age 6-and-Younger Coach-Pitch baseball team got to the final four of the state tournament, which took place in Weatherford. Vian and the Roland Rascals were two of the final four teams which hailed from Sequoyah County.

The Rascals won the state title on June 29 with a 9-7 win over Stigler in the 2024 OK Kids Age 6-and-Younger Coach-Pitch State Tournament.
