Jeff Marlow, the new CEO for the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, and Austin Brewer, Chief Impact Officer, visited Catholic Charities Helping Center in Sallisaw last week, to begin getting acquainted with various locations.
“We’ve never had a visit from the CEO of the Food Bank before, so this was a special occasion,” MaryLynn Lufkin, with Catholic Charities, said.
Catholic Charities is located at 409 N. Adams St. in Sallisaw, and is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
“We accept monetary donations and clean, gently used clothing for our clothing center,” Lufkin said. “We have a food pantry and also help with other emergency needs. We’re always in need of volunteers, so if anyone has a heart to help our less fortunate neighbors – this is the place to come!”
