Workingwith God

Workingwith God
By Pastor,

ICorinthians 3:9 “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are Gods building.”

When the earth was formed, God in His wisdom knew of the future of mankind. Some tell us that man has evolved from an illiterate beast to

Michael Martin the intellect they view as man today.

Actually man has devolved instead.

Adam was a perfect man. Adam was intelligent enough to give the animals that God had populated the earth with their names. Genesis 2:20 “And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.”

Man began his evolution downward when Adam ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Before he was innocent and without sin.

Our text tells us that we are laborers together with God. All through human industry there is this cooperation between God and man. He stores the cellars of the earth with gold or coal, and it is for man to excavate it. He fills the hedgerows and woodlands with wild fruits and flowers, it is for man to cultivate them. He fills the earth with iron, copper, and other priceless treasures, it is for man to work them into all manner of useful implements.

In every harvest-field, garden, orchard, industry, and employment of natural law for the purpose of civilization, there is this combined effort of God and man. Gods energy works according to laws God Himself established when the earth was created. It then became man’s challenge to study this established energy as the key to the unlocking of the forces, which he uses. Energy that God created, man uses to send his messages through the air, guides the airplane or other vehicle to their desired destination, or speed him across the ocean on ships as passengers or in shipping cargo.

I feel you questioning this, yet if you study history, you will see that gravity has not changed from the foundation of the world. You will see that air is the necessary element we need to live and breathe, and have our being. The saints of God recognized this thousands of years ago.

Acts 17:28 “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

They realized that man is also the creation of God. (We are His offspring). Many today dispute this, yet they do not stop to realize that all the basic elements that they use in this life were already created before they found a use for them. They do not think about the water cycle and how it works. They do not think of the currents of air that distributes live giving oxygen to the world. They do not think of the life cycle of plants and animals that has existed before man was ever a player in this wonderful world in which we live.

Solomon, reputedly the wisest man in the world, saw this and recorded it on Ecclesiastics. Ecclesiastics 1:4-7 “One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits. All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.”

This is only a small sampling of the things that God created in His wisdom, while man tries to attribute this to mere chance. The Big Bang cannot account for any of the basic elements that govern this world and keep it so that it can provide for mankind’s continued existence.

We can only use what we find. We cannot create the basic elements. We build wind turbines for power, but we did not, cannot create the wind to power them. We build solar systems that give us power, yet we cannot create the sun that give us his rays to power the solar arrays. We build hydroelectric projects to supply man with electricity yet we cannot make it rain to supply the water to turn the generators.

Think Man! Get pass all the garbage that “learned men” try to shovel down your throats. Man is not getting better! The world is not getting better! Our lives on this world, that was created so that God could have a family to look after, that the devil and his crowd has corrupted, this life is not getting better and better!

We have diseases that were never found in the past and we hail the scientist that finds a cure, yet the disease was of our own making! We are not getting better as a world!

If we simply turn back to God, and Work with Him by His rules, our world could change for the better, yet I do not see that happening, nor does God. Today God accumulated wrath against the day of wrath. Tlie Day of the Lord is surely coming.

Zephaniah 1:15 “That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,” Revelation 6:17 “For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”

That is a good question…who shall be able to stand against God’s wrath? Can you? Are you stronger than God Almighty? Turn to Him, ask His forgiveness, change from the wicked life and obey God’s commands and you will be able to stand in that wicked, evil day of God wrath.
