Camille’s Kidz learning center in Vian is celebrating its 25th year in business on May 1, providing for children in Vian and surrounding areas from ages birth to 12 years.
Business owners Steve and Camille Carlton pride themselves in taking care of children just like they were their own. The couple works hard as a team, along with their amazing staff, to provide committed care, education, welfare and wellbeing of all the children who attend.
Camille not only serves as owner, but director of the facility. Her employees describe her as having a heart of gold, never afraid of getting her hands dirty, and always being there to lend a helping hand.
Camille has an associate’s degree in child development from Carl Albert State College, and was a former employee of the business before purchasing it.
“From how we clean to how we teach and treat the children, it’s the Camille way or no way,” Laura Richardson, employee, said. “There is no job too small or big for Camille. She is the heart behind countless childhood memories, teaching, cheering and comforting every tiny milestone. The love, patience and joy she has poured into every little life is a legacy that will last a lifetime.”
The couple is also proud of their employees and the training and education they receive while employed at the learning center. They encourage their employees to be life-long learners.
The couple has five children and nine grandchildren.
Congratulations to them on 25 years of making a difference, one small hand at a time!
