The Gore Pirates lost their only game played last week as they suffered an 13-3 road loss to the Panama Razorbacks on April 21.
The Razorbacks put away the game with a nine-run first inning for a 9-0 lead. A pair of two-run innings in the second and third innings put the game into run-rule status.
In defeat, James Brasuell’s single was the only hit for the Pirates (16-8).
Tate Brooksher (3-4) took the loss, getting two strikeouts in two innings.
The Pirates had their April 22 road game at Quinton canceled and their Thursday road game at Weleetka rained out. Neither game likely will be rescheduled.
The Pirates were slated to conclude their regular-season schedule Monday afternoon at Muldrow.
The Pirates found out Monday from the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association where they will play this week’s Class A-I Regional Tournament.
The Pirates were sent to Ripley where they will meet Summit Christian at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, with the winner meeting the Hominy- Ripley winner at 4 p.m. Thursday, with the winner playing for the regional title at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The Gore-Summit Christian loser will meet the Hominy-Ripley loser in an elimination game at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The loser’sbracket final will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday between the 4 p.m. Thursday loser and the 6:30 p.m. Thursday winner, with the winner playing in the regional championship game at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The ifgame is slated for 2 p.m. Saturday.
