A Seven Year Storm is Coming!

A Seven Year Storm is Coming!
By Shirley R. Watts

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor  the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is”(Mark 13:32-33). “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (I Cor. 15:52-53). Jesus said to John “Surely I am coming quickly” (Revelation 22:20).

Sirens, shelters, storms! What does this remind you of? There are always some who will ignore the warning to take shelter and later find themselves, crying for help. Many say “it will miss us” or they are slow to heed the warning. The storm comes and they are not prepared. This reminds me of the days of Noah. People did not believe Noah. He prepared for the flood. It did rain and it did flood the earth! (Genesis 6-9).

God has sounded the warning of the great storm that is approaching. He has warned us since the day Adam was found guilty of disobedience and cast out of the Garden. That same warning is still being heard around the world. Judgment is coming! Is anyone listening?

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Jesus tells us the storm is coming and what it will be like (Matt. 24-25). He is our only “safe-room.” People will run to caves trying to hide from the great storm, b ut it will do no good (Rev.6:16). Jesus is the only shelter! He protects us in this life and He is the Christian’s protection from the great storm (The Seven Year Tribulation) that is coming to this world (Rev. 3:10). Yes, the true believers are taken up just before the storm.

Let us praise the Lord. What a great and mighty God we serve. Let us love Him and live for Him daily as we warn others of the seven-year storm ahead. There will be many who will not listen, but there will be some who will and we are commanded to go. Continue to sound the alarm and God’s Holy Spirit will do the convicting. One day God will sound a trumpet and only the true believers will hear it. He will be calling us home. We are secure! “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God” (I Thess. 4:16). What a glorious day it will be! “in the twinkling of an eye,” (I Cor. 15:52). The real power shortage will begin!

Jesus is still calling people to Himself. He is coming soon! Secure your future today. Do as the Psalmist did “I will trust in the shelter of Your wings” (Psalm 61:4). Don’t be one who says: “I’ll do it later” or “I don’t need Jesus.” If you are reading this, you still have time to ask forgiveness and place your faith in Him. You can be safe and secure for all eternity. The storm is coming whether you prepare or not.

When I hear thunder in a storm, I am reminded that God is speaking and He is saying “I am alive and I am in control.” He wants us to take shelter in His Son. You will find this shelter at the foot of the cross as you bow your heart to Him, trusting Him and you can walk away to live for Him as you begin to warn others and sharing His love. Let us warn every person.

I hope you are ready for what is ahead. Please take the warning serious, prepare yourself and family. God loves you, He created you and you are special to Him. Trust Him today! “He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life”(Ezekiel 33:5).

Seek shelter today and be ready. Your shelter is Jesus!

Jesus the “refuge from the storm” (Isaiah 25:b).
