VPS announces changes to bus routes

Vian Public Schools has announced important information regarding changes to their 2025-26 school bus routes, most specifically Bus Route F, due to the ongoing construction on Hwy. 82.**

New bus routes

NOTICE: Until further notice, buses will not travel north of Smokin’ Goat on Hwy. 82 due to the ongoing construction. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Students that live beyond Smokin’ Goat may be picked up at East Lake Hills Gate, Harvestime Church parking lot, or any of the other bus stops.

ROUTE A – Chris Peoples, Bus #17 First pick up at 7:12 a.m., Big Daddy’s, North of “T” at McQuick’s, Hopper’s Corner, Carlton Loop, Johnsonville, Big Daddy’s, Rodgers Addition, and Ridge Route, E. 980 and E 976 LeFlore Loop, South of Blackgum Baptist Church, Blackgum Landing Road, all others meet at Fire Station on Blackgum Landing Road.

ROUTE B – Abby Glass, Bus #9 Moonshine Road E. 1000, Redbird housing addition, old S curve off Hwy. 82, Harvestime Church E. 980, to Risley Hollow, and Armer Road.

ROUTE D – Emanuel Drew, Bus #16 Hwy 101 to E. 1025 Cloud Corner meet at 101, Hart Loop meet at 101, Marble City transfers meet at end of Hwy. 101, Pinhook 4565 meet at E. 1013, E 1030 and S. 4570 meet at Pinhook Corner, Leathers Mt. Road. New Housing Addition on Hwy. 82.

ROUTE E – Richard Queen, Bus #8 Lee, McConnell and Sequoyah Streets in town, Hwy. 64 E. to Rodgers Addition #2, Hwy. 64 E. to S 4550 Rd. S. and by Drake Stand Cemetery, S. 4540 Rd. to Vian Creek Landing, and Rogers Addition #2 meet at Hwy. 64. Wolverine Daycare.

ROUTE F – Todd Keaton, Bus #2 First pickup at 7:05 a.m. at Harvestime Church, East Lake Gate, Evening Shade Road, McCoy Cemetery, and Jackson Mt. Road, S. 4530, Hwy .101 to Cawhorn Corner, S. 4590.

ROUTE G – Trent Trotter, Bus #4 Hwy. 64 W. to S. 4505, west to Joe Farmers to S. 4490, straight across Hwy. 64 to Upston Switch, S. 4490 South to Sand Town Bottoms, Sequoyah Wildlife Refuge, and Haraway Arena Road.

ROUTE H – LaLinda Lane (a.m. and p.m.) Monday and Tuesday; LaLita Armer (a.m. and p.m.) Wednesday-Friday, Bus #18 Old Hwy. 82 N. to Hwy. 100 at McQuick’s, S. 4520 Whitmire Addition, E. 970 to East Lake Hills gate, East Lake stay on black top, N. Rodgers Road, Pump Station Road students will meet at N. Rodgers Road. East Lake Hills meet at Gate. S. 4522 by Gordon’s lawn mower shop.

ROUTE J – Rob Boyd (a.m.) Monday and Tuesday; LaLinda Lane (a.m. and p.m.) Wednesday-Friday, Bus #21 Lizzie Henry Park, Apts. behind the Smoke Shop, 2-story apartments, Garden Walk Apts., John’s Hamburgers (formerly Bubba’s).

ROUTE K – James Ross, Bus #15 Northview Estates, Methodist Church, around Baptist Church, all stops W. of Hwy. 82 in town. Camille’s Daycare.
