Vian’s 8th annual Burnin’ Down Main Street is slated for Saturday, in downtown Vian, at the Anna Belle Farmer Park. This year’s event is hosted once again by B&B Auto and Vian Wheel and Tire.

Car Show – Registration is at 12 noon with judging at 2 p.m. A $500 cash prize and trophy will go to Best in Show. Cost for registration is $20. A free commemorative dog tag will be given to the first 30 contestants.

Burnout Competition – Starts at 4:30 p.m. and awards and cash will go to the top three: First will receive $1,000, second, $500, and third, $250. Cost for registration is $20.

In addition, a new category has been added for the “Bigget Pile.” The winner will be awarded a bronze toilet seat.

Organizers said a portion of the proceeds will go back into the community.
