The Gore Board of Education met in regular session on Sept. 8, approving several key items, including a kitchen design proposal tied to the district’s elementary bond project.
During the meeting, the board approved General Fund purchase orders 83–152, Building Fund purchase orders 9–12, and Bond Fund purchase order 1. Reports were presented by Superintendent Nick Humphries and by principals Amanda Andrews and Tonya Pugh.
In other business, the board approved the District Capacity Report, voting to add five additional student slots for grades 6–12.
A major item of discussion centered on the Elementary Bond Project, with members voting unanimously to accept a proposal from McKay Consulting Ltd. for the kitchen design portion of the project.
The board also approved several contracts for the 2025–26 school year, including:
• Appointment of Darrel Johnston as district treasurer and signer
• Assessment Services with Jaime Clevenger
• PCG School-Based Health Services
• Estimate of Needs for the 2025–26 fiscal year,
• Maintenance agreement with Craig PC.
With all consent agenda items approved and no new business introduced, the meeting ended at 6:18 p.m.
