Vian’s Jett balances motherhood, business and community
By AMIE CATO-REMER Editor

If you’ve spent any time around Vian, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Camry Jett — whether through her bustling small businesses, at the local lake, or surrounded by fabric and thread in the middle of her latest quilting project.

At 30, the lifelong Vian resident has built a life as vibrant and varied as the hobbies she loves. But ask her what her most important job is and she doesn’t hesitate.

“My main job title is mommy,” Jett said. Her daughter, 1-year-old Olivia, is “such a blessing,” she added, her face lighting up the way only a proud mom’s can.

Jett, who earned her associate degree in zoological and biological sciences, has always had a wide range of interests. Today, she channels that energy into a mix of entrepreneurial ventures — running a residential and commercial cleaning company, selling portable buildings and keeping her real estate license active. But for now, she’s intentionally stepping back from the grind to focus on her little girl.

“I still have my real estate license but I want to focus on my daughter while she’s little,” she said.

When she’s not juggling business or baby duties, Jett is likely to be found enjoying some much-needed creative downtime. She sews, quilts, bakes, and does just about anything that gets her outdoors.

She’s also part of a local book club in Vian — “a fun escape,” she said, and a perfect excuse to gather with friends.

Despite her many pursuits, one thing has always remained steady: her love for her hometown.

“I’ve been here all my life and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else,” Jett said. “Our community is strong during the good times and stronger during the bad. We really rally together when we need to.”

Her favorite place to be? Near the water.

“I love the lake life all year round,” she added.

In a world that often encourages chasing the next big thing, Jett is content embracing the simple joys — raising her daughter, serving her community and finding fulfillment in the place she’s always called home.

“Vian is where my heart is,” she said. “It’s where I grew up, where I’m raising my daughter, and where I hope to keep building this beautiful life.”
