In a show of unity and compassion, the Vian Ministerial Alliance and Center 64 Food Pantry are partnering to ensure no one in the community goes hungry this holiday season, organizing a series of free community dinners to help those in need.

A meal was hosted on Dec. 13 at the Center 64 Food Pantry, located on Hwy. 64, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Ministerial Alliance will then host its annual Christmas Dinner on Dec. 20, again from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vian Baptist Church.

Finally, the Center 64 Food Pantry will ring in the new year with a community meal on Jan. 1, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All meals are free and open to anyone in need, though organizers note that no takeout meals will be available.

“These dinners are meant to help everyone in our community have a blessed holiday meal,” Doug White of Center 64 Food Pantry, said. “We want folks to know they’re not alone, and that prayers and support are with them during this time.”

The Food Pantry is also seeking donations of canned goods and other non-perishable items. All donations will remain within the Vian community to assist local families.
