CASC softball team splits road games with NOC-Enid

ENID — The Carl Albert State College softball team split its road doubleheader against the host Northern Oklahoma College-Enid Lady Jets on Tuesday.

The Lady Vikings won the opener 11-1 but lost the nightcap 11-3.

In the opener, Vian’s Kala Gibbins went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs batted in and two runs scored, while she was hitless in two atbats in the nightcap.

The Lady Vikings (5-7) were rained out Thursday at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa but were slated to return to action with a home twinbill Tuesday afternoon with Connors State College before entertaining Arkansas State University-Mid South in a 1 p.m. Friday home doubleheader before welcoming Arkansas State University Newport to Poteau for a 1 p.m. twinbill and traveling to meet Northeast Texas Community College for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Monday in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
