SHAWNEE — Former Vian softball player Greenlee Wells and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison swept a home three-game series from East Central University last Saturday and Sunday at Bison Softball Park.
The Bison took both fames Sunday by scores of 5-1 and 9-0, with Game 2 needing only five innings due to the contest reaching runrule status.
The Bison completed the series sweep with a 10-2, five-inning, runrule victory.
In Saturday’s opener, Wells went 2-for-3 with a triple, a stolen base, two runs scored and a run batted in, while she was 2-for-3 with her 13th and 14th home runs of the season and six RBIs.
In Sunday’s win, Wells singled with two runs scored and an RBI.
The Bison (21-2) will play Cameron University in a 4 p.m. twinbill today at home, then will entertain Henderson State University in a three-game series this weekend, with a 6 p.m. Friday game and a noon doubleheader.
