Worship the Most Holy God
commentary, Devotional
April 8, 2026
Worship the Most Holy God
By Shirley R. Watts,

“I will love You, O Lord, my strength, The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold, I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies” (Ps. 18:1-3). It’s all about worship! “O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise” (Ps 51:15). What does worship and praise to God our Creator do for the individual, family, local church and our Nation? It changes everything! Do you want to be blessed? To be blessed we must praise and worship Him. Let us love Him above all and be obedient to His will. Amen.

Are you a born-again child of the Living God? Are you obeying God’s Word? Are you qualified to receive blessings from God? Do you worship God? “Jesus said to him, “’You shall love the Lord your god with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37).

There is power in our lives when we commit to Him and love Him above everyone and everything. We will see the power of God in our Nation when we love God above all and live by His Laws. That is true worship!

Are you experiencing the power, peace and the privilege of being a Christian? He also gives us victory over our enemies. There is war against sin going on today, and many different battles going on in our lives, our Nation, churches, schools and our families. Praise Him! Victory is ours!

Without our obedience we will not be able to glorify God. If we don’t glorify Him, He does not bless us. We must believe Him. Unbelief leads to unfaithfulness, disobedience and may even lead to death. Remember the ten spies who were sent out to spy out the land and it resulted with all but two who would not believe that God would give them the land. God judged Israel. He turned them around and sent them back into the wilderness for forty years and all over the age of twenty would die there because of unbelief.

God delivered them from Egypt and led them day and night, fed them and now they just could not believe Him. Are we much like that in our life? Do we really believe Him? If we as individuals, families, church members and our Nation are going to be victorious, then our life must prove that we believe God’s Word. There is victory in Jesus Christ!

We serve the All Mighty God, who is full of love, who is the God of His Word, Merciful, Caring, Just, Truth and He is the All powerful, All Knowing, All Present God. There is none like Him! “I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another” (Isa. 42:8).

We want His blessings, but we are not willing to obey Him and love Him as we should. Too many things interfere with our lives and we fail to call upon Him. We should awake every day with praise on our lips, “The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted” (Ps. 18:46).

We must call upon God today! Right now. in repentance, asking forgiveness and fall on our face in real worship of Him. He is the Creator! He deserves our worship! “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker” (Ps. 95:6).

Let us truly worship our God! He loves us and wants to show us His power. He can bless our Nation, families, schools, communities and backslidden church members who will repent. He is also ready to save the lost person who will call upon Him in repentance.

The Lord calls us to be faithful. Glorify Him. “Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His footstool —He is holy” (Ps. 99:5). Worship our Most Holy God. Praise Him. “I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore” (Ps 86:12).
