Gordon “Scott” Barnett of Sallisaw passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He was born on Dec. 26, 1969, in Tulsa to Bobbie Osborne Barnett and Jimmy Ray Barnett.
Cremation was under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He received his teaching degree from NSU, taught Physical Science, and later worked in the food and retail business. He enjoyed cooking, reading and video games, and loved his cats.
Survivors include his daughter, Jessi Barnett of Claremore; brother, Kenny Barnett and Laurel of Tulsa; sister, Kristle Walden and Joe Roberts of Vian; mother, Bobbie Sneed of Vian; two nephews, Jason Barnett and Gabby of Drumwright and Chase Walden of Vian; aunts and uncles, Joe and Peggy Barnett of Bixby, Judy and Mark Mullins of Broken Arrow and Jay and Rita Barnett of Sand Springs; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; step-dad, Dale Sneed; and grandparents, John and Betty Barnett, Joe and Lena Osborne and Herman and Geneva Welch.
