Sallisaw – Funeral service for Carol Wells, 90, were at 2 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Sallisaw to Frank Green and Irene (Bradley) Green. She died on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She was a 1950 graduate of Sallisaw High School and received her Bachelors Degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. She was a past President of PTA, and a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She also enjoyed shopping, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors are two daughters, Mary and husband Michael Watts of Fort Smith and Stacy Wells of Bedford, Texas; two sons, Gordon and wife Phyllis Wells of Marion, Ark., and Robert Wells Jr. and wife LeAnn of Sallisaw; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Wells.
Pallbearers were Wiley Sanders, Wiley Sanders Jr., Mark Green, Terry Wilson, David Payne, and David Furlow.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Wilson, Phil Green, Michael Watts, and Dave Copple.
