The Secret Place of Thunder

The Secret Place of Thunder
By Vian Baptist Church Psalms 81:7 ?Thou calledst in trou-ble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters ofMeribah. Selah.?,

Pastor Michael Martin

Science know a lot of stuff about a lot of stuff. Through observation they have identified many, many things. For example: they know water his 2 parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. The scientific definition of water is a transparent, odorless, tasteless liquid, a compound of hydrogen and oxygen, H 2 O, freezing at 32°F or 0°C and boiling at 212°F or 100°C, that in a more or less impure state constitutes rain, oceans, lakes, rivers, etc.: it contains 11.188 percent hydrogen and 88.812 percent oxygen, by weight.

That is a lot of observed knowledge! But I have a question. How does the hydrogen and oxygen know to bond to form water? And I have another question. Since water weighs about 8 pounds per gallon, how are there millions of pounds of water suspended in light fluffy clouds?

Scientists again have an answer. “Even though a cloud weighs tons, it doesn’t fall on you because the rising air responsible for its formation keeps the cloud floating in the air. The air below the cloud is denser than the cloud, thus the cloud floats on top of the denser air nearer the land surface.”

OK, then, we have it! Wind holds up the clouds that are filled with water, but where does the wind come from? And how does it know that it is its job to hold up the water-laden clouds? The Bible tells us what science cannot know for certain because they cannot observe it.

Jeremiah 10:13 “When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.”

So if Jeremiah is right, the wind comes from God who has a treasury of wind to use as He sees fit.

Darkness is the absence of light, but where did darkness some from?

Psalms 18:11 “He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.” When does it rain? Why does it rain? Job 5:10 “Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:” Psalms 135:7 “He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.”

In fact, all the observable things of weather can be attributed to God, their Maker. God speaks and they obey. Psalms 148:8 “Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:” Man is the only thing in nature that does not obey God. Cats are cats, dogs are dogs, horses are horses, but man was made differently. The evolutionist thinks we evolved over millions of years into our present form. But if evolution is correct we should still be changing, dogs and cats should still be changing, horses and sheep should still be changing?

Oh, foolish preacher, it takes millions of years for a creature to evolve. Oh, foolish reader, 1 Timothy 6:20 “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:” Science falsely so called…profane and vain babblings… Paul does not mince words does he? He is calling out people who believe themselves to be smarter than God. He is calling out people who believe in fairytales. He is calling out people trying to use their limited knowledge of science to disprove God exists! They need to get rid of God for if there is a God, He will judge them for their actions in this life!

One lie must be justified by another lie and so on and so forth. 2Timothy 2:16 “But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”

Lies are a product of the devil and are used to cast doubt on God and His Word. All the way back to Genesis 3:1, the devil in his serpent form asked Eve, “Yeah, hath God said?”

Let me close with some of Jesus’s own words. John 8:42-44 “Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Who is your father? If God were your father…
