The Webbers Falls teams got home splits with Gans on Feb. 3 on Coach Jerry Ward Court at Webbers Falls Event Center as the Warriors beat the Grizzlies 47-30 after the Lady Warriors fell 52-37 to the Lady Grizzlies.

Last Thursday night, it was a similar split at Indianola as the Warriors prevailed 43-36, but the Lady Grizzlies lost 57-24.

In the boys’ loss to Wetumka, the Outlaws rallied from a 35-32 deficit at halftime by outscoring the Warriors 41-24 in the second half to get the come-frombehind win.

In defeat, Webbers Falls put a trio of players into double figures, led by Heflin’s 15 points, followed by Shelby’s 12 points and Yandell’s 11 points. Cole scored nine points, followed by Robinson with seven points and Newcomer with five points.

In the girls’ loss to Wetumka, the Lady Outlaws rallied from a 13-9 first-quarter deficit to get the come-frombehind win as they outscored the Lady Warriors 48-33 over the final three periods.

After the Webbers Falls teams played Monday night at Watts, they will begin postseason play by traveling to meet the Crowder Demonettes and Demons on Friday night in the Class B, Division I District Tournament. The girls’ game will be at 6 p.m., followed by the boys’ contest at 7:30 p.m.

Regardless of the outcomes, the Lady Warriors and Warriors will advance to next week’s regional tournament, which will begin Tuesday night on Coach Jerry Ward Court at Webbers Falls Event Center before moving to Varnum High School on Feb. 20-21.
