Vian track athletes compete at Warner, Hilldale meets

It was a busy week for the Vian track teams last week as they went to the Warner Invitational on April 7 and the Hilldale Invitational last Friday in Muskogee.

At the Warner Invitational, Ledger Folsom won both the 100-meter dash (11.39 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (23.77).

As for other Wolverines’ individuals at Warner, Dee Antwine was third (51.82 seconds) and Maddox Turman was 25th (1:06.29) in the 400-meter dash, Dradyn Harrison was seventh in the 1,600-meter run (5:57.08), Carter Madsen was eighth (12.06) and Isaiah Owens was 14th (12.43) in the 100-meter dash, Trey Antwine was 19th in the long jump (14-4) and Amos Wright was 25th in the 200-meter dash (27.64).

As for the Wolverines’ relay teams, Folsom, Madsen, Owens and Dee Antwine came in runners- up in the 400-meter relay (45.21 seconds), while Owens, Wright, Kalvin Andrade and Trey Antwine were fifth in the 800-meter relay (1:42.97).

As for other Lady Wolverines’ individuals at Warner, Gracie Buttery was third (4-8) and Aubrey Gant was fourth (4-8) in the high jump, Gant was 11th (2:58.01), Carmen Rautenberg was 14th (2:59.98) and Maya Silos was 25th (3:49.27) in the 800-meter run, Gant was 12th (1:11.56) and Buttery was 21st (1:14.49) in the 400-meter dash, Tina Rautenberg was 12th (30.36 seconds) and Jenweh Dikar was 14th (30.46) in the 200-meter dash, Bostyn Rodgers was 16th (10-10), Brooke Cox was 17th (10-7) and Kylie Covey was 18th (9-6) in the long jump, Olivia Lovell was 19th (14.78) and Cassidee Postoak was 26th (15.39) and Eva Lee was 32nd (16.16) in the 100-meter dash.

As for the Lady Wolverines’ relay teams, Sidney Cox, Lovell, Tina Rautenberg and Buttery were fourth in the 800-meter relay (1:57).

The Wolverines were fifth (44 points), while the Lady Wolverines were 11th (18).

At the Hilldale Invitational, Dee Antwine had best individual performance on the day as he was runner-up in the 400-meter dash (52.66 seconds).

As for other Wolverines, Ledger Folsom was fifth (10.94 seconds), Carter Madsen was 38th (12.17) and Amos Wright was 51st (12.57) in the 100-meter dash, Folsom was fifth (22.56) and Trey Antwine was 42nd (26.27) in the 200-meter dash and Kalvin Andrade was 33rd in the 400-meter dash (1:01.78).

The Wolverines’ 800-meter relay team of Isaiah Owens, Wright, Kalvin Andrade and Trey Antwine was 10th (1:42.19).

For the Lady Wolverines, Vian’s highest finisher was compliments of Carmen Rautenberg, who was 11th in the 800-meter run (3:01.38). As for other Vian girls, Aubrey Gant was 20th in the 400-meter dash (1:14.8), Jenweh Dikar was 30th in the 200-meter dash (31.08 seconds), Olivia Lovell was 31st (14.19), Cassidee Postoak was 42nd (14.78) and Eva Lee was 52nd 16.27) in the 100-meter dash.

The Lady Wolverines’ 800-meter relay team of Sidney Cox, Lovell, Tina Rautenberg and Gracie Buttery was seventh (1:57.35).

In team standings at Hilldale, the Wolverines tied Locust Grove and Wilson (Henryetta) for 12th place (12).

The Vian track teams will be joined by Roland, Central, Gans and Webbers Falls at the Porter Consolidated Invitational that will begin at 10 this morning.
