The Webbes Falls Lady Warriors saw their losing streak reach 12 games as they lost 10-3 to Vian on April 6 at Armstrong Park and lost twice in last Friday’s Riverside Conference Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament — falling 12-3 to Gore and 5-0 to McCurtain.
In the loss to Vian, the Lady Wolverines broke a 3-all tie with a five-run second inning for an 8-3 lead. A two-run sixth inning put the game into run-rule status.
In defeat, Katie Frazier was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Rhilee Jones was 2-for-2 with a double, Shkyra Scruggs was 2-for-3 with a double and Allie Patterson doubled with two runs batted in for the Lady Warriors (1-12). Lextyn Chappell (0-8) took the loss.
In the tournament loss to Gore, a six-run first inning and a threerun second inning put the Lady Pirates ahead 9-0. A run in the fourth inning put the game into run-rule status.
In defeat, Rhilee Jones tripled and scored once for Webbers Falls. Chappell suffered the loss.
In the tournamentending loss to McCurtain, the Lady Bulldogs broke a scoreless tie with a three-run fourth inning and single runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
In defeat, Scruggs went 2-for-2, while Chappell doubled for Webbers Falls. Chappell took the loss.
The Lady Warriors found out where they will be to begin the playoffs as they were sent to Porum for next week’s best-of-3 series in the Class 2A District Tournament.
