PORTER — Webbers Falls Warriors shot put thrower Thadan Yandell was runner-up at last Wednesday’s Porter Consolidated Pirate Invitational.
Yandell’s throw was 40-3 to score all eight team points for the Warriors, who tied Wister and Prue for 14th.
As for other Warriors’ individuals, Colton Lester was 11th (25.15 seconds), Ryker Gilley was 43rd (33.3) and Joseph Moore was 44th (35.54) in the 200-meter dash, Chevy Cole was 14th in the shot put (35-6.5), Lester was 21st (12.6 seconds) and Cole was 49th (15.03) in the 100-meter dash, Lester was 21st in the 400-meter dash (1:02.08) and Moore was 30th (2:52.03) and Gilley was 32nd (3:05.15) in the 800-meter run.
While no Lady Warriors placed high enough to score team points, several athletes competed in last Wednesday’s meet.
Allie Patterson was seventh in the 300-meter hurdles (58.11 seconds) and 10th in the high jump (4-2), Patterson was ninth (2:56.74), Kimberlee Rolston was 17th (3:12.68) and Mason was 19th (3:21.08) in the 800-meter run, Madi Smith was 36th (31.88) and Hannah Kay Mason was 41st (33.64) in the 200-meter dash and Hailey Shanks was 29th in the shot put (20-8).
