Students from Gore Elementary recently had the opportunity to see the Wizard of Oz at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center due to a generous donation from an anonymous donor.

ABOVE: Main Street in Vian was shut down Monday and Tuesday for a free Legacy basketball camp, which was spearheaded by Vian alumni Zac Rogers.


The Lady Wolverine Basketball Camp will be held May 29-31 inside Vian High School’s Traw Fieldhouse.

The camp is open to girls in grades 3-8 and will be held 9 a.m.-noon each day.

The Vian Sluggers recently won the Big Basin Baseball Midseason T-Ball Tournament in Muldrow. Muldrow Youth Baseball hosted the tournament.


Gore Town Administrator Horace Lindley was the featured speaker at the Sequoyah County Historical Society on Sunday, May 19.
